With roots across multiple Glasgow groups and projects, The Rory Carroll Band serves up powerful, high-energy Blues Rock played with passion and intensity. The band draws inspiration from timeless classic blues and rock tunes while bringing their own modern edge to the stage.

Originating in Glasgow, but now partly based on Kirkcudbright, The Relatives, a three-piece family band, perform (mainly) acoustic versions of old, new and often surprising and unexpected songs, drawn from the sixties to today. Noted for their strong vocal harmonies, the band is fronted by the powerful voice and confident stage presence of Laurie McIntosh, ably backed on vocals and guitars by dad John McIntosh and uncle Graham Bryce.

​Michael Grant is a local based guitarist and vocalist specializing in the sophisticated, feel-good rhythms of Motown, soul, and rhythm and blues. Drawing inspiration from the impeccable guitar arrangements of the Stax and Tamla-Motown eras, Michael crafts an experience that is effortlessly smooth and groovy.

Noah Whyte is fronted by brothers Sam and Joseph Hamilton, the third generation of the Hamilton clan to rock the region. Drawing from an eclectic set of influences the boys bring a contemporary spin to a classic rock sound, combining irresistible riffs with sharp lyrics – the perfect openers for an evening of enlivening music!

Makossa is a long-standing Edinburgh-based band and music collective, active since the 1980s, specializing in African-influenced funk, disco, and highlife. They are often associated with high-energy live performances and curated club nights like Disco Makossa at venues including The Bongo Club and La Belle Angele. Makossa are a feel good band with influences from African to Latin, Funk, Reggae and Classic Rock. All with a West African flavour!

Sharing a passion for music, and with a wealth of songs written independently, their partnership only strengthened each other's creative output. From here a natural progression formed out of writing and performing their own original compositions as well as their renditions of classic songs by Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. This has garnered them a steady local buzz within the short time they have been working together.

Helen McCookerybook’s musical career has ranged from the John Peel approved The Chefs, to composing soundtracks for Channel 4, to publishing a monograph on the Female musicians of the punk era, to recording with members of The Go-
Betweens and The Raincoats. She’s gathered fans from Tom Robinson to The Wire magazine. With 11 albums and countless singles and EPs under her belt she has a huge catalogue to draw from – expect quirky, thoughtful pop delivered by a
consummate performer.
